My wife works from home via a vpn which connects her to her company’s network.
She often experiences slowness when using apps on her company’s network. Their IS support say that the slowness is due to our Fios upload speed being higher than the download speed. Her upload speed is around 63 Mbs and download about 57 Mbs. She has a laptop running Win 7 SP1.
This doesn’t make sense to me on a technical level (but I am not a Network engineer) also as Verizon touts the increased upload speed as a Fios feature, presumably to attract Cloud users.
Does anybody know if there is any truth to this diagnosis and/or what the real problem might be?
