I’ve searched high and low and can’t figure this out, but I also noticed that there are probably many members out there with the same setup. I have a Cisco 67x router connected to a Linksys BEFSR41. The Linksys provides the DHCP, NAT, IPSec, PPTP passthru. My VPN server is a NT 4.0 SP6. The VPN clients are win2k/98 machines.
I haven’t been able to connect at all. I get an Event ID 721: Remote computer is not responding.
Does anyone have a similar setup? I need some help along the way. I’m pretty sure the clients and the Linksys are set up properly. Maybe the Cisco is blocking the PPTP requests? I’ve configured the NT’s RAS without PPTP Filtering since there’s only one LAN card. Are there any common pitfalls withthe configuration of NT’s RAS?
