W2000 Prof isnt allowing me to log on

Situation :A particular workstation in my small peer to peer network that is set up to share its harddrive with the rest of the workstations is not allowing me to log in locally as administrator, guest or local account. It is allowing access throughit via the network. What happened? I didnt change anything except for downloading a critical updates package from the microsoft site.
