Homework?

If you answer Q1 I will help with the factors.

1) It needs to be really big- more than five computers big.

2)Your users require access to both http://www.somethingawful.com/askjeffk/ and http://www.somethingawful.com/jeffk/

3) Your network administrator needs access to:
http://members.iinet.net.au/~bofh/

and five factors to consider are:

1)DoS (Not the OS)
2)DDoS
3)Port Scan
4)Packet Capture
5)Sneakernet

I think also that you may want to turn "CAPS LOCK" off and you will get more quicker response.

I will assume that business objectives and business requirements have already defined a networking scenario.

1) Central database accessed by remote locations
2) Internal email for users at remote locations
3) Internal file sharing between usersat remote locations

Five factors to consider when planning a WAN include

1) Cost - sets a practical limit to the design options
2) Support - planning must include post implementation operation
3) Security - driven by business needs. This includes Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery
4) Performance requirements - from the user perspective. Establishes protocol choices, bandwidth requirments, and latency parameters
5) Time frame - like cost this sets a practical limit on potential solutions and may impact how much consideration security, support, and performance factors are given

You should be able to map every element of design as follows - business objectives to business requirments to technical objectives to technical requirements to the physical, logical, and component design.
