web design software

By mariah10 ·
I'm relinquishing custody of one of the websites I maintain to a newbie - even more than me. I've given her all the files (all the individual components of each page within a seperate file folder) plus an html page of each page.

But she doesn't use the web program I use, nor does she want to pay that. I need to find a free or near free program that is good for newbies but MOST IMPORTANTLY -

she needs to be able to open the current pages with formatting intact and be able to edit them as well.

Does this exist? We don't want to reinvent the wheel here! If you want to see this particular website (remember this is amateur stuff) go to either www.midmosaddleclub.org or www.showmecircuit.org. Guess you can figure out these are non-profit organizations, so there isn't any money here. Everyone is volunteer including me.

Please get back to me ASAP as they are going to Best Buy on Sunday and I don't think they have any idea what they need. I know what they need, just don't know what software to tell them to get....CHEAPLY!

Well, what do you use now?

If there were some sort of compatibility to ensure, we'd need to know that.

Don't know what kind of less-than-expensive web design software BestBuy might have. Anything you can get for less than the Adobe or MS offerings is probably equaled by something that is free, anyway.
