      Hi there,

      I assume you are referring to programming languages which are good for website development. That said you should know that a website comprised many components and those components are individually supported by variety of technologies.

      For example: Frontend/web server (HTML, CSS, JavaScript…); Application server (Java, JSP, .NET, Ruby, Rails, PHP, Python…); Database server (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, NoSQL..)

      It would be wiser to choose the coding/programming language based on factors like nature and characteristics of the website, depth in the functionality, vastness of features, complexity, expected scalability etc.

      No language is bad for development and there are countless languages available for website development. It depends upon your website requirement that which language you will be beneficial for your website. Here are some popular languages that are in technology trends these days:-

      1. Java
      2. Python
      3. Javascript
      4. PHP
