Web Page Link to Outlook Contacts

By bill ·
Is it possible and how could I link from a webpage to an Outlook contact?

When I clicked on the link it would open their Outlook contact page where I could either choose to email or phone them.

I am using Outlook 98.

Web Page Link to Outlook Contacts

I do not know of a way to do this natively within Outlook 98. However, you could work around this with Access 2k. Many steps, but can be done.

1. Create a link table in Access 2k to the Outlook database.
2. Create a data-access page in Access, referencing the linked Outlook Contacts table.
3. Voila! it's just that easy, bearing in mind that steps 1-2 are going to be rather involved.

Another option would be to, switch to Outlook 2k and browse to your server running Exchange 2k. E2k has acomplete Outlook web-interface that you can use to get to your Contacts, Calendar, Messages, everything. Mucho bettero than recreating the Outlook Contact card on an Access data page...
