There’s a new start up business at called Telegram Stop ( http://www.telegramstop.com ) that’s brought back the traditional Telegram similar to what has since disappeared when Western Union discontinued their service.
The interesting thing about the website is its use of the internet to deliver emotional forms of communication that have waned with proliferation of txt messaging and emails.
It’s also fun, uses old typewriter fonts and inserts “STOP” wherever a full stop or period is supposed to go. I thought it was a great example of reviving an old concept with modern web techniques.
It got me to thinking generally about emotional forms of communication in a crowded instant feedback world. I’d invite comments on this.
