Webpages lose their place when I return to them

By gio13 ·
Whenever I click on a link in either Firefox or IE7, when I return to the back button it bounces to the top of the previous page.

This is annoying as it wastes time scrolling down a page again to where I thought I was.

Is there something I can do to fix this?

running Vista Home Edition and this only happened in the past couple of days.

Thanks for any help.

Before you leave the website, book mark it where you are on the page. When you come back to it, you will be at the spot where you left from.
Hope this helps you.

Hold down the Shift key as you click the next link.
This will open a new instance of the Browser with the new page. When you are finished with the new page just X it out.
