Website Design Help!!!!!!

Ok so i want to create a website where the members of the site each have a page that is part of their account that they can design and mantain (sort of like a myspace page). These pages need to be able to be veiwed (by other people) by clicking on a members name or seaching from a seach bar to find the member whos page they want to view. Any one know any websites, applications or any thing else that can help me do this?

Comcast provides webpages pretty much the way you describe, something like this:
home.comcast.net/~username/index.html
They also give the option to create several usernames per household, so you could create one like “search_Peter_and_his_friends”, and add distinct hyperlinks to the page home.comcast.net/~search_Peter_and_members/index.html using simple html. I think other broadband ISPs offer similar bells & whistles with their high speed downloads.

refer to first guy, but isn’t the comcast thing only available to comcast people? don’t know if that’s true, though.

the creators of myspace are very skilled html editors. if this is something for your company, maybe you could use something like sharepoint 2003. it’s a FREE microsoft product that integrates very well with server 2003 (don’t know about server 2000) but only integrates with a NOS. to learn sharepoint 2003, you could buy one of the microsoft step by step series books on sharepoint 2003.

Ok new idea, what if i used like phpbb to allow people to create accounts and then let them write a like about me page that is viewable to other members.
