I have just recently come on board as Network administrator for a small but rapidly growing Marketing/Advertising/E-Commerce firm and I am wondering if I could generate some more exposure for this company.

I have been checking the internet using various search engines, attempting to locate our company website, but with very, very poor results. I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions at to which search engines to register with, and how I would go about doing that.

I think what has happened is the company has been growing quite quickly (2 servers in March of ’99 to 8 servers as of June 1 2000)
and this has just been overlooked.

I realize that this is not really part of my job as Network Admin, but I feel that if it would benefit the company that it is my responsibility to speak up.

Check with your ISP, most of them provide services for situations just like yours. They will even host your domain name, as well as give your guidance to register it with NIC.

We host our own first level domain, as well as 25 client first level domains. Your answer does not really apply to my situation but thanks for the input.
