It was part of the "Edit Post" bug

by sMoRTy71 In reply to Welcome back Insiders!

This section was only missing for some users under certain login conditions. It was the same bug that affected the "Edit Post" button on discussions.

As for your site history, it only started with the launch of the new MyWorkspace on Saturday.

Your full discussion history is still available via the "My Discussions" link at the top of the site.

There are going to be some improvements made to history over the next few weeks, so stay tuned.

As for your missing contacts, they may have left due to all of your complaining :) I kid! I kid!

Seriously, though, I'll look into the cause of that.

Smorty...........oy!

Me? Complaining? (you're dead. you're dead)

Now look. jdclyde has done far more than complaining than I ever would - just look at the two discussions "Edit Post" and "Posts from my contacts" and see how many times he's complained in there......

Now THAT's how to complain.

I only mentioned my little technical hiccup three times, and in places where I thought those people who'd lost me as a contact may find it.....yes, there was method in my madness, it wasn't just dippy tart syndrome.

Having said that, if only I could only remember the names of 8 of those 14, I'd ask you NOT to put them back.....

Still having a few hitches from here, but now I'm worried about mentioning them in case I get accused of complaining again........

(I'm joking, I'm just having trouble getting to read any thread on jd's divorce discussion - thread loads, but posts come back as page not found....again)

What never ceases to amaze me

by jardinier In reply to Welcome back Insiders!

is that the website designed BY IT pros, for IT Pros, NEVER WORKS.

Being in the same situation as jd (searching for a mate -- but will have some good news to report shortly) I cruise a number of matchmaking websites. These handle a datbase of 500,000 or more members, with full profiles including photos, and usually store ALL messages and contacts for ever, unless one takes the time to individually delete outdated contacts.

These websites NEVER have bugs, and load the home page and individual pages much faster than TR.

There's probably a moral to this story -- perhaps someone can suggest it.

Perhaps "God" considers love a priority over binary business?

You're doing it to me again! When will you learn not to leave me in suspenders like that?!

I've been very patient so far, so - TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME!!!

(Which one of those three? What's happening?)

Typical woman -- nag, nag, nag ....

by jardinier In reply to AAAAARGH! Jules!

It is none of those.

She is Addisu, a 19-year-old orphan from Ethiopia. Initially she contacted me on the advice of a female German missionary in Ethiopia (who I knew through a Christian website) to ask for financial assistance to study English and computers so that she could help other orphans.

As she is an orphan and I have no children, I offered to "adopt" her. She was delighted and quoted Proverbs 31:10-31 to indicate her loyalty to me. As this section of Scripture describes the ideal wife, I decided to propose marriage to her and she accepted with delight.

However what was really amazing was this email from her pastor:

brother, how are you and God works in your life? i pray that all is well with you. thank you for your effort to our dear sister, may God reward you in abundant. As a servant of God, i prayed for both of you and the living Jesus want the young lady to be with you as one body and one flesh, this is the answer from above for my prayers to you all. i will try to get passport for her and you send the invitation so that our church will help her to get visa here. or we can give agent who can work it out to help us. God is with you both and will work things out. have faith and trust God and He will do all impossible to be possible. Pastor John

I have suggested that we wait six months or so before actually bringing Addisu to Australia.

In the meantime she is helping me with my website:

www.julianchancock.com

and has a marvellous natural news sense. And here is her photo:

You are not going to last out the first day with that one. :^0

But at least I suppose your going to kick off this mortal coil with a smile on your face that no undertaker will be able to remove right?

Jules Her Highness

Might refuse her consent.

You don't want to upset her as she has a nasty temper and firmly believes in Revenge when you least expect it. :)

Neil is still in Hiding after Standing Her Up for a Royal Appointment. :^0
