What about MS office 05

I have a mac and need to buy ms office 04. I know 05
will be coming out and my question is should I wait for
05 to make the market before I buy? Is it going to be
different than 04 and how much different? Is this
something we would know now?

2004 version

If I am reading things correctly, Microsoft Office 2004 for the MAC just came out this spring.

"Usually" there is at least a 2 year cycle for new versions of Office. And the MAC versions are often farther apart than that.

As with any "new" version of Office, the biggest issue you will face is sharing your files with users who have older versions of Office.
When you know a file will be shared, make sure that you save it as an older version file.
