That depends on your requirements, on the platform, on what you want to integrate it in and on how much integration you want.
Better hire someone who has the experience for this project that you don’t have yourself.

A recent consult had the clients try using Amazon and Godaddy Online Store Builder. There are so many offerings that my answer is that it doesn’t have to be problematic.

When integrating an eCommerce platform, there are several design issues that need to be considered to ensure a smooth and effective integration. Here are some key design issues to keep in mind:
Scalability: eCommerce platforms need to handle a large number of concurrent users and transactions. Designing for scalability involves considerations such as load balancing, horizontal scaling, and optimizing database performance to ensure the system can handle increasing traffic and transaction volumes.
Security: Security is crucial in an eCommerce platform to protect sensitive customer information, including payment details. Designing a secure integration involves implementing encryption protocols, secure APIs, and following industry-standard security practices to prevent data breaches, fraud, and unauthorized access.
Data Synchronization: Integrating an eCommerce platform often involves synchronizing data between different systems, such as inventory management, order processing, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Designing efficient data synchronization mechanisms, such as real-time data updates or batch processing, is essential to maintain accurate and up-to-date information across systems.
User Experience (UX): Designing a seamless user experience is critical for eCommerce platforms. When integrating, it’s important to ensure consistent branding, navigation, and user flows across the platform and other systems. Pay attention to elements such as product catalogs, shopping carts, checkout processes, and personalized recommendations to enhance the overall user experience.
Performance: Slow loading times and unresponsive pages can significantly impact the user experience and result in lost sales. Designing for performance involves optimizing code, leveraging caching mechanisms, and using content delivery networks (CDNs) to minimize latency and deliver a fast and responsive platform.
Payment Integration: Integrating payment gateways is a crucial aspect of eCommerce platforms. Designing a smooth payment integration involves considering different payment methods, such as credit cards, digital wallets, or bank transfers, and complying with payment industry standards, like Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
Mobile Responsiveness: With the increasing use of mobile devices for online shopping, it’s essential to design eCommerce platforms with mobile responsiveness in mind. The integration should ensure that the

When integrating an eCommerce platform, there are several crucial design issues to consider. These include scalability, security, performance, user experience (UX), responsive design, integration with third-party services, inventory management, analytics and reporting, customization and extensibility, and multilingual and international support. Each of these factors plays a vital role in ensuring the functionality, usability, and success of the eCommerce system.
