What is the Easiest and Fastest Backup Software?

By Sargoth ·
I am currently in a network that uses BackUp Exec 8.5, but find it to be quirkie to say the least, and sometimes it creates strange occurrences within the network. As such I was interested in finding out if someone can recommend a better backup solution, for a fairly busy network, the software should support Windows 2K, a superdlt drive, and be intuitive and easy to use, as well as fast. I have been searching for some reviews on the net, but haven't found anything conclusive as to one great backup solution. Thanks for any insight you might offer.

Veritas makes Netbackup also, and I hear it is much easier to configure and work with...

Good luck!

Retrospect

by minki In reply to try netbackup

Hi there - I had problems with backup software when changing our 250 Mb Zip drive to a 750 one. Eventually I tried Dantz Retrospect 6.5 backup software. It's not massively cheap and you do need to configure it, but i have found that once you do that it's great. Lots of features, customising, monitoring tools and it backs up in sessions so that it is easy to restore. i tried out a trial version first - see if it's for you.
