What is the file location of the recycle bin folder in file explor?

Where is the recycle bin’s folder location on Windows 10? I don’t need to know how to make the desktop shortcut for recycle bin. I just want to know if you go into file explorer, where do you go to find the files and folders in the recycle bin? Where is it in the C drive? For example, chrome.exe is usually located at C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application. What is the such location for the recycle bin folder?

First, the Recycle Bin is located in a hidden directory named \$Recycle.Bin\%SID%, where %SID% is the SID of the user that performed the deletion.

Most folk are fine with clicking on the desktop recycle bin or maybe you want a new shortcut to “Recycle Bin (Windows 10 )if you use the following path as the the “target” of a new shortcut:

1. Go to the command bar at the bottom, left of the Windows screen.
2. Type “recycle bin”
3. The file folder will be displayed for the the recycle bin.
4. On the left of that will show the tree of its location on your computer hard drive

If I open file explorer and click on C and then enable show hidden items I see $recycle.bin

Delete something and see if it shows up in the folder.

To bring up the Recycle Bin, Click View -> Navigation Pane -> Show All Folders. Immediately you will notice some visible alterations in the layout of the sidebar. You will see links to the Recycle Bin and Control Panel
