Here’s a good one:
I am a two person IT department supporting 200 PC’s and 5 servers. In January, my desktop support tech discovered and reported porn on our Chief Operating Officer’s PC. I did the right thing and reported it to HR. A few month’s later – after a botched investigation – the guy was fired for “other reasons”. Since that time I have been retaliated against by his buddy – who also happens to be my boss. After two years of asking for assistance to get caught up on some projects resulting from a major construction of our building, they suddenly hire “a consultant” to “help me” get caught up. Had they asked me what I needed, I would have hired another tech to get the “mundane” tasks completed. The consultant doesn’t want to do these tasks and keeps acting like he’s my boss. If I go to my boss’s boss, I’m worried he will think I’m just being uncooperative.
Am I doomed?
