What’s wrong with my hard drive

    by khana010 ·

    Hello everybody,

One day I clicked on my “D” (my second hard drive” and there was no data in it!
The weirder thing is, is that when I right click on the D drive properties(the pie chart shows) It shows that the space is still being used!
Can somebody please help me? I would be grateful for ANY help received

Run a full virus scan/spyware scan just to make sure. Check the deleted items folder, if all else fails find a file recovery program that can check the disk for deleted files and recover them. Diskeeper has one that comes with undelete.

Is it possible that your D drive is home for your swapfile? Most Windows installations will “hide” system files by default… making that file “invisible” to explorer.
