Whats your fav way to kill you cell phone?

By Shellbot ·
I am having one of the crappiest days. What is it with me anyways..

Whole host of problems this moning, but the worst of it is:

I dropped my mobile (cell) down the f*cking toilet.

I've only had it like 3 months..Motorola was so pretty, so smooth, so sexy..
and now its in peices, drying in the sunshine. The screen is all fogged i'd say its dead.

:_| :_|

Who else destoys their belongings creatively? and how ?

Don't be too hard on yourself..

I dropped mine in a puddle once. My brother in law took it apart and used a **** dryer on it. It worked after that, kind of. It was a camara phone and it only took abstracts from that day on.

Anger management

I have a colleague who, allthough he is one of the nicest people I know, has what we call anger management issues. In his world, a mobile phone gets 3 chances. If it locks up, drops a call or otherwise misbehaves one time to many, it gets flung at the nearest hard surface. Recently, this happened while he was driving through a Dublin suburb in an agitated state (late, and looking for directions using the phone). The call dropped and blaming the phone, he flung it at the passenger door. Unfortunately, as it was a warm day, he had the passenger side window down and it flew out, hitting an innocent passer-by. With that, the lights went green and he was forced to drive on without his phone or any apology to the injured party. Worrying that his reg plate had been noted and a complaint made, he spent the next few days nervously looking out for policemen coming to take him away.

I used to be that way with laptops

Especially when I was out a hundred miles from the nearest cowtown doing installs in unheated warehouses with 19.2k connections at best.

There, got that off of my chest and I feel much better.

But seriously, put that dang thing away long enough to go to the bathroom.

This is a true story, I swear. I had a former employee call me from the bathroom (literally 20 steps from my office) to tell me she wasn't feeling well. I didn't know how to respond.

...Please do me a favour and not call me from the bathroom. I can wait until you are finished.

Suprisingly, I've done a lot of travelling in my life and I've seen telephones in bathrooms at some high end hotels, placed in such a way as to be accessable from the toilet.

But I can see how someone like me who wears a cell on their belt can have it drop to the toilet. This doesn't involve making a call.

by Mickster269 In reply to tee hee

If not on their belts...?

Strapped to their ankles? Shoulder holster under their coat?

I've got a Motorola Razr, and I can't imagine keeping it in my pants pocket (I spend 80% of my day behind a desk now)...
