When an iPhone X stuck in recovery mode?

One year old 64GB iPhone X , no physical or water damage. Phone started randomly shutting itself off and going to the startup screen with the apple, allowing swipe up, and then going black and repeating the cycle. It did that for about 45 minutes Then seemingly resolved itself.
Phone was totally fine in next two days until about next day night. It went black and appeared to reset with the apple logo, however it would never get to the home screen, just a loop between a black screen and the apple logo. Now it’s showing iPhone recovery screen when attempt to turn it on.

When an iPhone X stuck in recovery mode

by devinsmithfw In reply to When an iPhone X stuck in ...

I faced the same issue recently with my iPhone X stuck in recovery mode, so what you can do is to force restart it. Press and release volume up and down button in order. After that press and hold the wake/sleep button until the display shuts off, keep holding the wake/sleep button until you see the Apple logo. I will soon be going to cover the guide related to such issues on reviewsed (link removed by moderator) as i am a contributor on this site and would like to share my experience as a teck geek with others.

Hard reset might work

by Dianadickson001 In reply to When an iPhone X stuck in ...

Normally when a phone is stuck in a reboot loop there us obviously some code that us causing it to occur. First you need to stop the code doing a hard reset with the buttons. Iphone X has a combination of the volume buttons and the side button. Do it with the phone unplugged from any power source then plug it in to a power source and try again. If you can get it to the home screen i would suggest doing a factory reset to remove the bad code then do not restore from backup but just sign in. If you can’t get it to the home screen the keep holding the buttons as instructed above until you see the itunes musical symbol in the screen (recovery mode). Second have the latest itunes open, plug an Apple charging cable into the computer and then plug the phone in. If the computer sees it there will be a message to update and restore. Finally if all else fails take the sim card out and turn it off. Then turn it on without the sim and see if it realizes there is no sim. If it dies put the sim in and restart the phone.
