Where is all our mail going?

By admin ·
I recently change out email server to different box and ip, and server name, then made the DNS MX records changes. I am able to email out o.k., but no one is able to receive! When I send from another account I get no returned mail message and no mail. How can I track a SENT message from the senders point of view to see where it's going? Any ideas?

I see two possible causes. Une is that email is far from beeing 100% reliable. Yeou CAN loose an email without having any strange or erroneous configurations.
The other (which I think is more probable), is that your mail has been stopped by an antispam service that is not configured to advise you. I've see many cases like this.
If you have your own email server, you'll have to get in contact with the server that had to recieve the email, and see if they have an antispam system that blocked your mail.

Good luck!!

Changed public IP for the server?

When did you change the DNS records? It can take up to 7 days for DNS records to propogate and allow people to contact the e-mail server.
