Where is scandisk in Windows XP

I am unable to locate ScanDisk in Windows XP Home Edition.

Select->Start->All Programs-Accessories-System Tools
Scandisk will be present in the list to select

"Not currently supported. Use the chkdsk command, which enables you to create and display a status report for a disk based on the file system. Chkdsk also lists and corrects errors on the disk."

You run "scandisk" by right clicking on the drive, and selecting properties. Then the Tools tab, then pick Error checking, it?s basically the same as scandisk. Now check disk is run from the command prompt, it is a new improved version of the old chkdsk command, you set it up by typing it in the command prompt, and then windows will give you a message saying that it will run on the next start up.
