Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some product suggestions for cloud based Hosting in Australia.
The issue that I keep coming across is that most of the Australian-based hosts are far too expensive when compared to Western cloud hosting companies. I would say nearly 1-2 times the price.
My question is will getting cloud hosting in another country seriously affect speed?
I was always under the impression that one should select a hosting company that is nearby. Closer proximity = faster speeds.
The hosts I spoke to here in Sydney seemed pretty reluctant to share more data with me and from what I’ve read in terms of reviews (http://bestwebhostingaustralia.net/) they all seem to have a pretty atrocious track record.
So to answer my long question – which cloud host would you recommend?
My wife and I make handmade soap products and sell them throughout the world (mostly US/Asia) market. I had read that cloud hosting was more secure than shared hosting and since we are taking payments on our websites I figured cloud based hosting is the way to go.
Just looking for a better option.
