    Hey Community,

I am Yamaris Johnson. I am a high school student. I got a project for that i need to purchase a laptop with best features.
Not for only my project also for future.
I would love to discuss some details about it
There are a few factors to consider, such as budget, portability, and performance requirements. Here are some general recommendations:

Laptop vs. Desktop: If portability is important, a laptop is a better choice. However, if performance is a priority, a desktop will generally offer better performance for the same price.

Operating System: Both Windows and MacOS are suitable for high school students, but it’s worth considering what software they will need to use for school. Some schools may require specific software that only works on one operating system.

Processor: A modern Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, or an AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 processor, should be sufficient for most high school students. These processors will provide good performance for general use and schoolwork.

RAM: For most high school students, 8GB of RAM should be sufficient. However, if the student will be using more demanding applications or multitasking frequently, 16GB of RAM may be a better choice.

Storage: A solid-state drive (SSD) is recommended over a traditional hard drive (HDD) for faster boot times and application loading. A minimum of 128GB of storage is recommended, but 256GB or more will provide more space for files and applications.

Graphics: For most high school students, integrated graphics will be sufficient. However, if the student is interested in gaming or other graphics-intensive activities, a dedicated graphics card may be necessary.

My friend has suggested some laptops please check and suggest which one is best

    Can anyone suggest?

    Thank you for your time.

    Thanks
    Yamaris

Do not post product links as it is considered SPAM and is not allowed. You can post computer names/models without links.

As per your primary question, what is considered the “best” today may be considered obsolete next year or next month. Computers and technology are constantly evolving at a rapid pace. Your best bet is to get the most that you can comfortably afford today.

Certainly, Yamaris! It’s great that you’re planning ahead for both your project and future needs. Here are some additional details to consider:

Storage: Choose a laptop with an SSD (Solid State Drive) rather than an HDD (Hard Disk Drive) for faster performance. A storage capacity of 256GB or 512GB should be adequate, but you can consider higher if needed.

Graphics: If your project involves graphic-intensive tasks or you’re interested in gaming, consider a laptop with dedicated graphics, such as NVIDIA GeForce or AMD Radeon.

Battery Life: For portability, look for a laptop with good battery life, especially if you’ll be using it throughout the day at school. Aim for at least 8 hours of battery life.

Build Quality: Consider the build quality and durability of the laptop, especially if you plan to carry it around frequently.

Budget: Determine your budget range, and look for laptops within that range that meet your requirements. There are good options available at various price points.

If you have any specific preferences or additional requirements, feel free to share, and I can provide more tailored recommendations.
