which is best for designing core i5 or core i7?

When deliberating between Core i5 and Core i7 processors for designing purposes, what factors should one consider to make the optimal choice? Particularly in the context of demanding tasks such as graphic design for websites, if intricate details demand processing power, how do the capabilities of these CPUs stack up? Are the additional features and performance gains of the Core i7 worth the investment over the Core i5 for handling intensive design software efficiently? Additionally, considering budget constraints, are there scenarios where the Core i5 could suffice without compromising the quality of design work, especially when balancing performance needs with cost-effectiveness?

An i7 is faster than an i5. But it doesn’t deliver better quality.
But, depending on the program you use, the GPU might have more influence on the speed than the CPU.

Say, something is 10% faster. Then calculate how many hours of work that saves, multiply with your hourly costs, and you’ll know the financial side. But if doubtful if 5 seconds difference in doing something really gives you the time to do other useful things, if you don’t do it often enough.

Let’s be honest, an i9 processor is even more powerful/faster. The big picture is whether or not it is cost-worthy to spend more or will the mid or lower grade processor be sufficient. Talk to other professionals running similar systems and get their opinions. If money was no object, I would pick the i9, but then again…….
