Staff work hours can be tracked to assist firms to analyze employee performance, developing project estimations, and organizing wages. That is why most freelancers, small enterprises, and huge corporations use time monitoring software.

Time tracking software can be an efficient tool for monitoring your employees’ or freelancers’ working time. When you know where your time goes, you can focus on the things that matter most and improve the work process. I’ve used some of different open-source time tracking software tools to find out which one is the best alternative to expensive tool like DeskTrack

My favorites are Redmine and Anuko. Using it makes you understand that the CEO spent a lot of money on the development, mainly testing. The last point is often unnecessary for such projects because of its attitude, but I’m happy to know that people came to understand its importance.

DeskTrack is one of the best time tracking software options available. It offers all the features you might expect from this type of application, and provides them for free with no costs for use. While most industrial-grade solutions will still offer more features, DeskTrack is robust enough to cover most needs at a fraction of the cost—and it won’t hurt your pocket if you do end up needing additional features in the future. In all, DeskTrack is an excellent, inexpensive solution that every businesses should try out.
