Which privileges are needed (checker?)Locked
Is there any type of anything out there that will sort through what privileges are needed to run certain apps? I want to keep my users to levels lower than “admin”, but some programs say “this program may not run correctly if you don’t have admin privs.” Is there some sort of filter to figure out what apps need and assign just that privilege to users using that app. The current case is Outlook 2000 in windows XP pro. I can run it fine with admin privileges and seemingly ok with limited userprivileges, but shortly, the user will call and say she can’t print or she can’t open outlook. I go back and assign admin and run the program and it works and then reassign limited and it works and then after awhile a call comes with something not working again. Any help?
