Which XPS Model Should I buy for Video Editing?

    by rakib1232020 ·

Right now, I’m seeking for suggestions on where to purchase a new Dell XPS laptop. I’ve already checked a lot of model for Dell XPS series.

But I’m not sure which one I should choose. I haven’t made a decision yet because of lack sufficient knowledge on this subject.

The specifications for my laptop are provided here, along with a list of softwares. Which I’d like to run on my device without any latency and smoothly.

Review and provide the finest choice for me, please.

    Configuration that I want:

Processor i5 or i7 not amd
    Display QHD ( up to 60hz )
    Storage 1 TB / 512GB SSD
    RAM 16 GB
Graphics RTX 30 series ( not mandatory )

These are the softwares I would like to run on my laptop:
    Filmora
    Photoshop (latest version)
    illustrator
    Adobe Premiere Pro CC
    HitFilm Express
    adobe after effects

Does computermania(dot)com)(dot)bd provide the Dell official price? The distributor in our nation was making unreasonable financial demands from us, which caused me some issues.

So I’m hoping The Tech Republic will give me their finest advice. I appreciate you and also thanks in advance.

If there is an “official” price, it should be the price on dell.com (or the variant in your country). Other shops might have different prices, lower or higher.

Check the recommended system requirements for the software you want to run. Your new laptop should have the highest of those, or better.

You didn’t tell any other requirement, like for example (you might have quite different needs):
      – numeric keyboard
      – backlit keyboard
      – USB-C port
      – WiFi 6
      – non-glare 17″ screen
      – 3 years on site warranty
      – DP connection for a 4K external monitor
That makes it impossible to tell the exact machine that’s best for you.

      Two remarks:
      – If you buy outside your own country, be sure you have international warranty.
      – I’m afraid few of our members have experiences with shops in Bangladesh.

However I do stick with the i7 and 3060 or 3070 mobile graphics.
You’ll find that 1TB HDD is already outdated so count on replacing that soon with the now nicely priced 2TB SSD.
