Who is logged onto the network?

By drobert ·
This task should be very easy, but have found it to be perplexing. How can I tell what users are currently logged onto my network? (Using Windows 2000 Server with W2K & XP clients.)

Thanks in advance,

Log onto your server and go into the Admin Console, look under Shared Files and under Sessions you can see who is logged on and under Open Files you can see who is using what files.

Hope this helps!

download a program called Goverlan. They even offer a fully funtional evaluation period. Not only will it tell you who is logged on. It will tell you the machine name they are logged onto and if there is more then one machine that a specific user is logged onto it will list all of the machines that user has logged onto download it at: http://download.com.com/3000-7240-10290872.html?tag=lst-0-1 (download a fully functional 30 day trial)

We use VNC with a client on each workstation. It is freeware and you can install it via the network.
