My neighbor asked me to look at her laptop because it was running VERY slow.
I look at the system, and it is an Acer Aspire 3680, with a Celeron M 1.6GHz, 512MB RAM, running Vista home basic.

Lets get real here, 512 MB Ram is entry level for XP to have a functional system that runs more than one application at a time, expesially when you consider third party software such as AV/malware scanners also running. I personally would never send a Vista system out with less than 2 gigs, which is what I will upgrade this to, for $36 thanks to Kingston.
I admit I don’t run a lot of Vista systems, but for a working XP system that runs several tasks 1 gig is my starting point. Is there anyone out there that uses or deploys Vista with 512 MB ram?
