I am unable to successfully download functioning software listed as License: Free from the techrepublic software section.
When I click the ‘download’ button, the resulting popup window is always blank. In order to bypass this problem, I close the popup window and right-click on ‘If a new window did not open for your download, please click here.’ and select ‘Save Link As’. At that point, I am able to download the software to my computer. However, my success is short-lived. When I open the directory where I saved the file, then attempt to install or unzip, I receive an error that the file is not recognized of the software is invalid, etc. I’ve tried both IE8 and Firefox 3.6.8. I’m running Windows XP Service Pack 3. Where have I gone wrong?
