i have few questions about this forum.
1: Why are comments and threads constantly being deleted or locked?
2:When will I be allowed to paste links in comments?
I have been using this forum for more than 3 months. Anyone please give some recommendation. -

Comments and topics get deleted usually for spam. They also get locked to prevent spam, or in cases where it is considered “necroposting”. Do you think someone that posted a question a year or more ago is STILL looking for answers?
As for when you will be allowed to post links, don’t post spammy or advertising links, don’t try to hide them as innocuous words, don’t ask a question then post a link to your service as an answer. -

If I look in your profile, I see a lot of posts that are still present. Maybe they were considered acceptable given the forum rules and policies, maybe they slipped through.
Anyway, a username like yours which looks likes a companyname probably is chosen for promotional purposes. So we take special notice of what they post.
If your purpose is to help our members, make a username that’s not a company name and be sure to not include links that could be spam.

Heed the forum guidelines, especially # 2, which states:
Don’t promote or sell your goods – That’s what advertising is for, and we’ve got spots for that. You be cheap, we be deletin’. No SPAMing of any kind will be tolerated.
This forum has moderators to keep the threads/posts on track and spam free whenever possible. Don’t forget that as a member of the forum you are bound by those guidelines and it is not up for debate.

Yes I’m using a company name but if I’m sharing my blogs links in response to any questions I’ve written about this topic. So is this right?

Promoting your own blog can very well considered to be meant as just a backlink and spam, even if it’s on topic. If that appears to be a company blog, it’s quite likely to be deleted.

I think that should be allowed how would we promote our written blogs If the forums do not allow us to share with others.

Links to your blog are more than likely considered advertising.

So when those posts are noticed, the links are either removed or the post itself is marked as spam, advertising, etc. and deleted. In the past, NO LINKS WERE ALLOWED in the forums to outside sites. It’s softened a bit the last couple of years, but is still scrutinized.

In https://www.techrepublic.com/forums/discussions/desktop-app-development/#post-4017664 you ask a question and give a good answer to it two replies later.
I can only assume that you do this as SEO for your company. I’ll delete that thread later, unless you can give a good explanation.
