Why does my phone seem slower than it did originally?

My phone seems like it has gotten a lot slower since I had gotten it, and I realize that it could just be getting old. I close all my apps when I turn off my device and it still seems slow. I update it frequently and check for updates a lot too, but it isn’t getting any better. If there are any ideas you have or recommendations on how to fix it please let me know.

How old is the phone? What make/model is it? Just like a desktop or laptop computer these things happen. You haven’t provided enough information to really help out. You could do a system restore and wipe the phone clean of any and all stored information.

I would say the main reason would be because of how old the phone is and low storage.

The phone was new when I purchased it. I’ve had it for about 2 or 3 years I’m not entirely positive. It is a Samsung s20 FE. I hope that is enough questions. I would try to do that wipe, but I do not think that I would be able to do that properly.

If your smartphone feels slower than when you first got it, it’s likely due to accumulated cache files, app data, or limited storage space. Over time, these can consume memory and processing power, impacting speed. To resolve this, start by clearing your cache in settings, deleting unused apps, and transferring large files, like photos, to cloud storage. Regular software updates can also improve performance by fixing bugs and optimizing speed. Finally, restart your smartphone periodically to reset background processes. These steps can help restore your phone’s original speed and improve overall performance.

Factory reset it and back up all your stuff through icloud if you have an Iphone and or just delete apps to see if it’s a storage low issue.
