It's not a real HTTP Address it must be pointing to something on that particular system.

Doesn't display anything but then if you actually looked at the Address you would have seen that.

I do understand that you don't want to infect your new 7 System after all the time you spent setting it up though Santee. :)

You have to understand, I am a member in righteous standing of the Cargo Cult.

What good does it do to unlimber my 45 when I am crawling with networked-enabled ants?

Start off by downloading & Installing CCleaner

http://www.mrbass.org/freeware/crapcleaner/

Then open your Browser whatever that is and delete all of the cookies and History.

If that doesn't work post back with the OS in use and which Browser this is happening in as well as what AV product you have installed.

A free antivirus, firewall and malware remover. It sounds like your system has been taken over by aone of these.

You probably are infected. You may see something in your hosts or lmhosts file too.
They are located in the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc folder. Try looking there as well as installing and running antivirus/ antimalware.

Try to use HijackThis app, its look like there was some plug-ins inside IE and has not been removed completely.
