Why in the name of love?

By rogcoley ·
I need to know how to stop automatic opening of links when I leave the cursor hovering over them. I had 100 characters typed into this box and the cursor was over another story link and BOOM! It changes to the link and erases my rant. This is insane and not acceptable. If this can't be circumvented I am returning my new Toshiba laptop.

Sticky keys?

Just guessing, as I don't know for sure. However, whenever I'm typing out anything in a textarea of a web site, I try to make it a point to move the cursor away from any active links, so as to avoid activating a link if I hit the "Enter" key for a line return!

i tend to leave my cursor

in empty space. The touchpad on my Dell is just too touchy and I've had the same thing happen to me on occasion. Also, sometimes if I'm typing a long comment or a comment that needs concentration, I'll type it up in word or notepad and then copy/paste the comment into a comment box when I'm done. Leaves less chance for error or lost comments.
