Why is my iCloud account problematic by redownload Microsoft Authenticator?

I need help with recovering iPhone data related to MS Authenticator App. iPhone lost data due to forgotten new passcode within 72 hours. After re-downloaded App (lost after login even though iPhone didn’t alert me reset data), I login but Microsoft Authenticator list only my primary Microsoft Account.
On iPhone, after open the Authenticator app,
(1) selected Begin recovery, my Apple account turned out not where backup had been.Is it possible to list Apps registered with a iCloud account? I used to have two devices with different Apple accounts but now has only one account. The Microsoft Authentication App I am having issue with may or may not be registered under my current Apple account.
I thought Apple Tech Support merged both Apple Accounts but after reset of a device and download all Apps, Microsoft Authentication App has no data. When I turn on its iCloud setting to recover backup, there isn’t recover option but just overwrite option. Message is “There is already a backup on your iCloud account on another device.”Topic is locked -

https://www.quora.com/How-can-we-know-which-iCloud-account-is-used-for-purchasing-apps-from-App-Store-on-our-iPhone-iPad-devices-if-we-have-more-than-one-iCloud-account doesn’t look very promising.
Why not simply re-authenticate yourself in the Microsoft app?

I already did re authentication but still no recovery option
by gavottetreat03 · about 1 year ago
In reply to Re: registered apps
I re authenticated myself and App now shows my authenticated Microsoft account; no other accounts until I manually do re authentication one account @ a time,
No recovery option just overwrite existing backup option

In reply to I already did re authentication but still no recovery option
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/back-up-and-recover-account-credentials-in-the-authenticator-app-bb939936-7a8d-4e88-bc43-49bc1a700a40 tells how to backup and recover. It might not work for “work or school accounts” without cooperation from the work or school IT department.
Prerequisites seem:
– You did a backup in the Authenticator app itself. Did you?
– Your’re logged in into the right iCloud account (that’s the account where the app did store the backup). Are you?

Oil and Water problem to me.

In reply to Why is my iCloud account problematic by redownload Microsoft Authenticator?
Of course forgotten codes don’t help.
My take and I hold this still after over a decade of Apple and Windows use is these two systems don’t get along.
My answer is to be untrusting and create backups you know work. That is, export things like contact lists to CSV and such. CSV is usable by most contact systems.
Yes it would be nice if these two would get along but in over a decade I only see complaints. No fixes outside of staying inside one camp or the other.

In reply to Personal phone with previous work 2FA
As a personal rule if work demands that I use my own phone or laptop, they supply it.
Second rule. Keep personal work to personal phone and PC. Let work deal with their gear and such. -

By phone, mail, filling in a form, a personal visit. Depends on the circumstances.
But I don’t think it’s related, since you mention nothing about 2FA being an issue in your first post. Anyway, if you reset your personal phone to factory conditions, by definition nothing that happened to it in the past is relevant.

Diminishing resources & External employees seems like trend

For my region, companies have fewer resources and hiring more as external employees. For external employees who work in the office and no work phone, how to have login security such as 2FA for personal smartphone?

How to implement the security is not a problem for you, that’s a problem for the company.
And I fail to see, why it’s relevant for your issue “Why is my iCloud account problematic by redownload Microsoft Authenticator?”

How to de-duplicate exported CSV file? Export to Excel crashed
by gavottetreat03 · about 1 year ago
In reply to Oil and Water problem to me.
Thanks , I exported to CSV but need help with de-duplicate contacts. Since iPhone numbers does open exported CSV, I installed CSV Lite but how to open when it reports following problem?
Used separator: ,
Found number of columns using separator: 1
Read rows using separator: 11The problem is likely that the correct separator was not found, since only having one column is unusual (but possible). Please specify the correct separator manually in the ‘Files’ view settings

In reply to How to de-duplicate exported CSV file? Export to Excel crashed
Can you explain why you say “export to Excel crashed” in the subject line and “CSV light gives an error when opening the file” in the body. Those are quite different things in all respects (export or import, crash or error, Excel app or CSV light app)
Luckily, csv-files can be opened in any text processor, since it’s just text with tabs or comma’s or semicolons separating the columns. A file with only one columns doesn’t have a separator at all, it’s just text.
So use your favorite text editor to open it. If it only has 11 records (for 11 contacts) deduplicating won’t be a difficult job.Or, when you’ve it opened in the text processor, find the separator used and specify that in the settings of the app, as it asks.
You’re moving away from your orginal question (about iCloud and Authenticator) more and more and more. That’s very confusing. Maybe this post belongs in your other thread, about duplicate contacts?

App SA Contacts export to Excel issue
by gavottetreat03 · about 1 year ago
In reply to Re: csv-file
Said App was recommended by someone but with iPad Mini 6 i can only export to CSV.
Export to Excel crashed yesterday; today for over an hour, it is still exporting.
Is there better way to export to Excel without computer? -

In reply to App SA Contacts export to Excel issue
Excel is a program or app. You don’t export to a program or app. You export to a file with a certain format.
Most of what you write is unclear:
– what do you want to export
– on what device
– using what app
– to what file format
– what happens (crashing is not the same as hanging)Suppose you manage to export it. What exactly would you do with the result?
