Why is rotating a PDF and saving the PDF in that state not a native feature

Why don’t PCs natively rotate PDFs? On Macs, Preview does so many things that one would think is simple, and using Automator, I have been able to automate tonnes of workflows with PDFs. Meanwhile, my reception staff are on these $5,000 Surface Studio machines and whenever they rotate a PDF, it doesn’t save. I have access to the Creative Cloud for myself, but I’m not going to pay for a monthly subscription just so they can adjust PDFs, am I? This feels so basic. Surely there is an app that can manage PDFs that doesn’t require a monthly subscription.

Never forget that Microsoft doesn’t produce or sell .pdf, Adobe does. I would reach out to Adobe for guidance.

And don’t call me “Shirley”.

It’s not as if a PC comes with all the OS and apps.

Some don’t come with Windows! PDF is an Adobe invention so they control what they want to protect. Sometimes folk want to ignore copyright and who owns intellectual property so they can’t hold a discussion.

if with “native” you mean “implemented in Windows” only Microsoft can answer your question.

Luckily, a company that has $5000 Surface Studio machines surely can pay for the software they need. Replacing them by Mac’s might be even cheaper.
