Why my storage in c drive is red ?

Hello everyone !
I am face a problem in my laptop storage in C drive . My C drive is red I delete un use able files and other data but it is not blue color or recover. How can I recover my C drive .

You need to describe this in more detail. What make/model is the drive? What type of computer? How old? Is it SSD or HDD? What is the unused capacity of the drive?

Impossible to offer help until you identify more information about your computer. I am willing to bet that you are just lacking storage space and the computer is warning you.

Don’t forget that a storage device (HDD/SSD) bought 5-10 years ago that had a lower capacity, may not be sufficient today, that is one of the easier components to upgrade/replace. If you prefer, you can use an external drive without replacing the internal one.

128GB SSD

I am using Dell Computer with SSD 128GB and 4 GB RAM and SSD is about 2 year old

128 SSD is very small today.

This size drive would hold the Windows OS and go into the red with just a few of today’s apps.

Nothing broken here. Just a small drive. I’d ignore the RED drive in Windows File Explorer. Or upgrade to a larger SSD if possible.

Just means it’s pretty full and no need to recover. What other than a full drive is the issue here?

There are many folk with the Red drive showing. Many bought those cheap 32 or 64GB drive equipped laptops but here there is no detail about your PC.

Please tell a little bit more. In the right click properties in Explorer of your c:-drive you see the used space, the free space and the total space. With me here it’s respectively 93.5, 138 and 232 GB. No problems with the color. What do you see?

How much data in the Recycle Bin? What changes if you delete all files there?

Then click the Disk Cleanup button and also choose the “advanced” options. Does that make any difference?

After some days later I found the reason of my C drive storage because all setup of my site is in the C drive and know I delete these files and it is blue
