Why no thesaurus?

By D'anno ·
We're using Word '97. Spellcheck works and a right mouse click on a word, then select 'Define' brings up the 'Bookshelf Basics' definition . . . but we don't get any thesaurus suggestions when selecting this. We simply receive the thesaurus screenwith no suggestions . . . ever! WASSUP?

2.You may add thesaurus to Tools menu.Rt click on tool bar.Choose Customisation from menu which appears.Choose Standard tool bar. Choose Commands then Tools.Open Tool menu on main tool bar, menu will drop down and stay down. Find Thesaurus from list in Customisation window. Drag and drop into Tools menu. Thanks, but the problem as in the registry. Here's the fix: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\Thesaurus \1033\Normal

change the value of the 'Dictionary' key from 'msth_am.lex' to 'msth_bus.lex'
