Will 64bit Operating Systems leave you “hanging”???

When it comes to installing the older softwares you ran on you 32bit operating system, will they still install/run on 64bit?

In theory I thought 32bit software would not run on a 64bit OS… smoothly anyway.

Over the weekend i helped my father-in-law pick out a laptop for his wife. Of course, now all systems come with a 64bit os of some kind.

I set up the laptop/wifi router and installed some extra software (itunes, cclenaer, avg, crossloop, ect.) to my surprise they all installed/ran flawlessly. i did notice that by default they ware installed to a “program files x86” folder (not program files) so i knew that the 32 bit programs i installed were put here. I just thought there would be more conflicts.

thanks for you help
