Is it possible for an IDE primary slave port to go bad? The primary master and both secondary master and slave connections work fine. I try to connect a slave hdd to the primary slave cable and it gives me an ‘unknown device’ in the bios. Tried all different configurations with jumpers and various hdds.???? WindowsXP SP2 Dell machine
