We’re not there yet. Also, the reason for a SAT phone is not the same reason you carry a smart phone. Do we need to expand on why we would carry a SAT phone?

Did you mean to ask if that satellite phones will replace terrestrial cell phones instead ? I have to agree with rproffitt. Maybe one day, but not anytime in the near future IMHO.
