These days you can’t escape the hype about the new dot coms like Facebook and You Tube. And you can’t help but notice how they’re stealing the thunder from the relics at Viacom and the other media conglomerates.
I believe guys like Kevin Rose, creator of Digg, and Mark Zuckerberg, creator of Facebook, are changing the world the same way the printing press brought about the renaissance after the dark ages; by putting the power of the free exchange of ideas and truth into the hands of everyday people, all over the world; and this time it?s FREE!!!
And it?s accessible to all who can read and write at any public library, at least in the United States.
The current bloated media with its government funded propaganda is slowly but surely losing its grip on our minds and will soon die off just as the sun will rise tomorrow because the laws of evolution dictate that those slow to adapt to or fail to adapt to a changing environment altogether will become extinct due to the fact that they are no longer fit to survive.
In time, that will be the fate of Viacom and all the others.
The Googles, Diggs, Facebooks and You Tubes will not only eclipse television, radio and printed publications; they will usher in current reigning media?s relatively speedy demise because they promise many alternative types of content and give the power to decide what is good and what is bad back to the people.
It?s only been about ten years or so since people began waking up one morning and finding themselves wondering ?hmm, what is this internet thing. It sounds cool!?
Well, it is cool. Its FU@KING cool!!! And it has the power to make Big Fat Old institutions like the RIAA quiver with fear.
Why? Because these guys are younger, smarter, hungrier and more confident and ethical than the current regime. They have the fat cats quaking in their Texas boots and the fatties know it.
But they have something else the fat cats don?t have; the ability to understand and exploit the most powerful medium ever known to man for the benefit of mankind, not the enslavement of it.
These 20 year old billionaire idealists and they can?t be bought. Viacom can?t afford them!!!!!
Besides, just by the nature of their being young they already hate the current establishment with feverish contempt because it is not their creation and therefore it does not satisfy their needs.
Spread the word! Then just sit back in quiet comfort knowing Newton?s and Darwin?s laws are well under way.
