WIN 2000 not opening win98 file

Well with the limited info offered it sounds like Windows 2000 doesn't have know what type of file it is. Do you know if W2k has a file association with that file type? If it doesn't then associate that file type with an application that can read that file type.

Good luck.

I agree whith answer number one. This doesn't sound like an OS problem but rather a application problem. What appliation does it open with on the Windows 98 box? Is that app on the Windows 2000 box? Is that App opening any of those same types of files correctly?
