There are no such things as "BDCs" or "PDCs in Active Directory

I suggest you brush up on your AD knowledge before you attempt to mess around with AD or domain controllers. There's just too much that you can mess up if you don't know what you're doing.

Serer 2003 Active Directory

BDC doesnt exist anymore in the Windows Server 2000 & 2003. But if you are trying to have redundancy like in the old NT4 server system. You can install another server 2003 run dcpromo and make it a 2nd domain controller in your active directory domain. You also have to watch and configure for the the replication between these domain controllers to see if they have the copy of the AD on both machines. All Domian controllers in the Sever 2000,2003 & 2008 Edition on Windows are writable. Not like in NT4 where there is a single master.

Read areticles on Active directory from microsoft website. It will help you a lot.
