Been dealing with this for a long time and can’t figure it out.
Windows update KB2670838 breaks AERO transparency. Taskbar becomes opaque. I would like to maintain transparency, just looks better.
Problem is, if you don’t install this update, you can’t update Internet Explorer so you’re stuck with version 9. I’ve installed Chrome but I also have a password manager which doesn’t seem to work well with Chrome. I’ve tried to install just the new IE without the KB2670838 update but seems that they come as a pair so when I install IE 10 or IE 11 this windows update automatically installs as well. I’ve then uninstalled the windows update and it backs me out of IE 10 and IE 11 and puts me back in IE 9.
Ideas?
