Win 95 B missing SHARE that Office wants

By Doc Logic ·
I've just upgraded my old 486 to Windows 95 version B. While trying to re-install my old Office package ver 4.0 the install says SHARE.EXE is required. After searching the Windows CD cabinets I find SHARE.EXE is not there. I cannot locate a SHAREwhich works with 95 B.

Is there a SHARE for 95 B, or a way to get the install to run without it?

Go to: http://www.pcwin.com/wintalk/general/messages/4142.html. On this page there is a statement 'Go here for Share.exe' Good lock.

Hi,

Have you try to find SHARE.EXE in your Office 4.0 package ?

You also can use SHARE.EXE from your old DOS package or your old Windows package. Copy SHARE.EXE from your old DOS diskette to C.

To avoid incorrect version problem, you canuse SETVER.EXE supplied in Win95B.

Hope this can help you.
