WIN 98 & Laplink 2000, MSVCRT.dll???

by deezel_boy . Updated 24 years, 12 months ago

Here’s the scenario:

Our accountant is working at home with access to the office via Laplink 2000. She calls in to her workstation here at work. The workstation she dials into is connected to a NT server, and she is still logged on. She accesses her accounting SW, Intuit Quickbooks, through the server and that works fine through Laplink. She can also work freely in MS Word, Excel, and other programs via Remote Access through Laplink………. here’s where the problem is: We have a printer set up at her house on a TSI redirection port, the printer is an Okidata Okipage 6W hi per, with the newest of drivers from Oki. Most things print, Word, Excel, and Quickbooks with no problem, but some things (reports, numerous checks, Word Doc with Tables) cuase an error and I don’t know what the fault is! The error message we get is: “Laplink caused an inv. page fault in module MSVCRT.dll @ 015f:7800a555 ……..registers……bytes……stack dump……

This file is a Windows file and a Quickbooks file. Laplink help desk says that this is not a Laplink error, they say it’s either MS or Intuit……….

I don’t know what the prob. is!!

Can anyone help please?!?!?

Thanks!
Josh
