Win2000 Pro Rebooting?

By dallen ·
Does any one have this problem?

I have a WIN2000 Pro running a Novell Client. When this user logs in now; they get and error 128, ans A "service.exe" failed to start. Then the computer reboots. Any help would be awsome!

Win2000 Pro Rebooting?

SERVICES.EXE is responsible for applications and services on the PC.

I'd suggest replacing it with a known good copy of services.exe from a different PC. You'll find it in WINNT\System32

It was changed in one of the service packs (not sure which one). Perhaps it's corrupt.

Never heard of this before though...
Kev.
