Is there a way to stop Windows 2000 Advanced Server from trying to contact itself (DNS, MMC, AD, etc.) via my aDSL public IP address?
My firewall constantly comes up with an alert saying that my computer is trying to access its public IP address. It all still works if I block access, but as the IP address keeps changing its hard to setup a firewall rule.
Would it help if I installed a second network card for the aDSL modem (currently, it’s connected to the LAN via a switch)
Thanks to anyone who can help me out.
